Kondalilla Falls

one of the region’s most breathtaking natural attractions. Found in Kondalilla National Park, this waterfall cascades 90 meters into a lush valley, with walking trails that guide you through dense rainforest. The track down into the valley below has recently reopened and well worth the effort. Be warned there are over 300 steps on this circuit so you’ll need to be moderately fit to enjoy it. Take a dip in the cool waters at the water hole at the top of the falls or simply enjoy the beauty of the landscape.

Mapleton Falls

Adding to the allure of the hinterland’s waterfalls is Mapleton Falls, located within the Mapleton Falls National Park. This impressive waterfall plunges 120 meters into the valley below, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring sight. Kenilworth

Just 30 Kilometers (around 19 miles) from Maleny is the the town of Kenilworth, Although not technically part of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, it’s a must-visit destination for tourists exploring the region. From Maleny, the drive usually takes about 35-40 minutes via the Maleny-Kenilworth Road, offering a scenic journey through the beautiful hinterland countryside.

Nestled along the banks of the Mary River, offers a delightful escape with its scenic farmlands and laid-back atmosphere. Known for its local dairy production, Kenilworth Dairies invites visitors to sample a variety of delicious cheeses and yogurts.
